IVAC 2025
For the 2025 edition of the experimental film festival in Nicosia, I took a fully analogue and hands-on approach, embracing experimentation at every step. The visual direction was inspired by the films on the screening list, with strong references to the eerie, stylized world of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s j-horror aesthetic.
From this, I developed the festival’s visual identity, which set the tone for all design applications—including a substantial catalogue featuring essays by the curators.
As a nod to my type-obsession, I ended up creating nearly a full Latin character set (numbers included and a few Greek glyphs too), which I used throughout the catalogue’s layout.
